International Spirits Challenge

Founded in 1995, the International Spirits Challenge has become the most authoritative and influential spirits competition in the world. The ISC is founded on a rigorous and independent blind judging process which serves to encourage the high calibre of spirits, designs and campaigns entered into the competition each year. Receiving thousands of entries from over 70 countries worldwide makes the ISC a truly global competition. It is supported by many of the world's leading spirits producers as the international standard for quality and excellence.

Each September, the industry gathers for its annual spirits celebration, as the International Spirits Challenge Annual Awards Dinner and Winners’ Tasting takes place in London. The world's leading drinks producers, design specialists and marketers come together to celebrate the success of the finest spirits, designs, and campaigns in the world.

Bar World 100

Since launching in 2019, the Bar World 100 has become the preferred prestigious list of the bar industry’s most influential figures. The ranking is created by polling a 100-strong panel of bar industry commentators, consultants, brand representatives, event organisers and bar trainers, diverse in nationality, geography, culture, and gender.

There are no strict criteria for voting but figures on the list are those who have innovated and pushed the industry forward, setting the standard globally and inspiring others around them and those who have addressed injustices in the bar industry, using their influence to effect positive change.

The Bar World 100 list is published online through a video presentation through You Tube and Drinks International’s social media platforms every July.

The World’s Most Admired Champagne Brands

Since 2014, The World’s Most Admired Champagne Brands has strived to give the greatest insight of the standing of champagne houses, by those who know the category best.

Led by Champagne Guru Giles Fallowfield, the voting academy is assembled of leading sommeliers, retail buyers, wholesalers, bar managers, Masters of Wine, elite bartenders and wine writers, each asked to name their top five champagne brands. We believe the Academy is the most influential and diverse ever assembled in the world of champagne,

Academy members are asked to consider the quality and consistency of the brand, with particular attention to its main line, the quality of brand and packaging, the brand’s value at its price level, and the overall image of the brand.

To be named in the top 50 is a mark of true respect and acknowledgement from within the Champagne sector.

The World’s Most Admired Whiskies

Launched in 2021, The World’s Most Admired Whiskies is the third addition to our Admired trilogy with the view to capture an annual snapshot of the ever-changing reputations within world whisky.

Investment and interest in whisky has never been greater so we assembled a world class voting panel of geographically and demographically diverse buyers, bar owners, writers, educators, and whisky specialists, to match. We ask each of our experts to name 10 whisk(e)y brands they most admire while considering each brand’s quality and consistency, price-to-quality ratio, and strength of branding and marketing. Given the regional nature of whisk(e)y and widespread geography of our Academy, voters are limited to five brands from a single region. We consider the Academy to be the most influential group of whisk(e)y experts ever assembled, and believe the annual ranking is a reflection of that power.

We ask each to name the five wine brands they admire the most taking into consideration the quality and consistency of the wine, the price-to-quality ratio, and the strength of the branding and marketing.  To be named in the top 50 is a mark of true respect and acknowledgement from within the global wine trade.
